American cold

Well I finally succumbed to illness, an American cold brought over from my visiting cousin. My aunt and uncle who were here caught it too and took it back with them when they left last week. It’s a chameleon of a sickness: flu chills, cough, sinus pain, sore throat, ear pain – a different set of symptoms every day. I’ve had it for about 5 days but it feels like a month. Gratefully it’s coinciding with a slow tutoring period and school break so I’ll have had 4 days of rest before I have to be energetic again.

All that being said, worth it because we got to spend time visiting here with Chelsea, who is kind, hilarious, and a super-loving person.
