(Indian) Summer in the City

This morning, Bryan and I took the kids to visit San Francisco. We based our visit on the book, “This is San Francisco,” by Miroslav Sasek. We’ve been reading this book to the kids for a while, along with another of his books, “This is Paris.”

We started off at Mel’s Drive in, proceeded to the “world’s crookedest street,” and off to ride various modes of SF public transport: cable car; street car; articulated bus. We also stopped off to peruse the Ferry Building‘s shops, where Bryan ran into an old friend, the same old friend that accompanied him to Nickie’s the first time he asked me out, oh those 11 or so years ago.

Pictures are from a stop-off at the park on Washington and Octavia.
